Norderstedt is integrated in the local transport network. The underground U1 connects Norderstedt with Hamburg and you are at the central station within 40 minutes. Northwards you can take the line A2 of the AKN via Henstedt-Ulzburg and Kaltenkirchen as far as Neumünster. But also with your car you will reach the city centre of Hamburg within approximately 30 minutes. The capital of Schleswig-Holstein Kiel can be reached within approximately 60 minutes and you only need 60 to 90 minutes to get to the North Sea or the Baltic Sea.
 
LIVING AT THE MOORBEK. In the surroundings of the stream course three park resources invite for a walk, jogging or recreation. Stretching alongside the Moorbek there are the Heidbergpark and the adjacent Moorbekpark. In the east the well-spaced Stadtpark offers not only footpaths, but also the opportunity to refresh at the public bathing beach on warm summer days. Also various golf and tennis facilities are accessible very quickly. And the essential goods are also provided of course. Only a few minutes of walking distance there is the lively Ulzburger Straße with a large offer of shops and restaurants.
